I am a second-year PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University at Albany (SUNY), advised by Dr. Daphney-Stavrourla Zois, and a member of IMAgINE Lab. I also serve as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering within the College of Nanotechnology, Science, and Engineering (CNSE) at UAlbany.

I received my B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), where I majored in Communication and Signal Processing. My undergraduate thesis was completed under the supervision of Dr. Hafiz Imtiaz and Dr. Tahsina Farah Sanam.

Before joining UAlbany, I worked as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Textile Machinery Design and Maintenance (TMDM) at the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) and as a Part-time Lecturer in the Department of EEE at Presidency University, Dhaka.

My research interests focus on adaptive, cost-aware, and interpretable machine learning, with the goal of enabling reliable decision-making in dynamic and high-stakes environments.

Research Interests

  • Dynamic feature grouping
  • Sequential decision making
  • Costly feature acquisition
  • Cost–accuracy trade-offs
  • Resource-aware and adaptive machine learning
